Eminent cricketers like Michael Vaughan, Aakash Chopra and Madan Lal took to Twitter to admire India’s young cricketers after they defeated Australia by 96 runs to reach the ICC U19 World Cup final. Indian team under the captaincy of Yash Dull, recorded a prominent win over three-time winners Australia in the second semi-final on Thursday at the Coolidge Ground in Antigua.

Former India opener Aakash Chopra congratulated the young Indian side and also pointed out the fact “unlike” last few editions, Indian team has no first-class experience.

Former England captain Michael Vaughan also sent his appreciation for captain Yash Dull, who became the only third Indian captain after Virat Kohli and Unmukt Chand to register a lot in the U19 World Cup.

A member of the India’s 1983 World Cup-winning team Madan Lal too congratulated the India U19 team for their great performance.

The India’s bowlers upholded the efforts of the batters by not allowing Australia to escape at any stage of the run.

Vicky Ostwal took three for 42 wickets and is the leading wicket taker of the tournament, while Ravi Kumar and Nishant Sindhu knocked off two wickets each as Australia were bowled out for 194.
