Brits Share Average Number of People They’ve Had Sex With in Eye-opening Study

You might have often wondered what the “magic number” is, but when it comes to sex, there’s no one size fits. Some raunchy Brits recently said how many partners they’ve had over the years.

You may have wondered if there is a “magic number” when it comes to sex. Should I have had a certain number of sex encounters by now? Or have I slept with too many different people?

In reality, there is no right answer because everyone is different. Even though there’s no one answer that fits everyone, a recent YouGov survey found that Brits have had sex with an average number of people. Researchers asked 4,006 people in the UK and found that 2,456 of them were willing to say how many people they had gotten sexual with. They then found out what the average number was.

But before you look at the results, it’s important to remember that there’s no “perfect” number because you can’t have slept with “too many” or “too few” people. The study showed that four is the average number. Men seem to have about five sexual partners, while women usually have three.

A quarter of the people surveyed said they’d had sex with 10 or more people, but some things about certain genders came out. Notably, 30% of men said they had slept with more than 10 people, while only 20% of women said the same. Just under 10% of Brits hadn’t had sex yet, and 12% of men and 7% of women said they were virgins.

People over the age of 60 were most likely to have had only one sexual partner their whole lives, while 21% of people between the ages of 40 and 59 said they’d gotten sexual with at least 15 people. This meant that, on average, people in this age group slept with the most people. Most people seemed to lose their virginity around the age of 17. Still, people said they had their first sex at any age between 11 and 30.

It’s normal to talk to a partner about their sexual history, whether it’s for health reasons or just to get to know them better. If you bring up the subject, it’s important to do so in a way that doesn’t make anyone feel judged. The conversation should be easy, honest, and open.
