One of the most prominent figures in the world of professional wrestling, Eric Aaron Bischoff (born May 27, 1955) is an American entrepreneur, movie producer, professional wrestling booker, and podcast presenter. On-screen General Manager of WWE’s Raw brand, he is best recognized for his role as Executive Producer and later Senior Vice President of World Championship Wrestling. TNA (Total Nonstop Action Wrestling) hired Bischoff as Executive Producer of Impact Wrestling, a role he held for two years. The WWE Superstar inducted him in 2021.
WCW Hardcore Champion Bischoff was also an occasionally active in-ring combatant, partnering with “Hollywood” Hulk Hogan against Diamond Dallas Page and Jay Leno in the 1998 Road Wild pay-per-view event. Controversy Creates Cash was issued by WWE Books in 2006 as an autobiography.

Bischoff has a variety of jobs before becoming a professional wrestler. Among his other roles, he starred in a training video for bank staff on fair lending procedures and maintained a butcher shop, where he sold meat by van delivery. He was also a professional kickboxer and a veterinarian’s assistant. “If it weren’t for Hulk Hogan, Eric Bischoff would still be selling meat from a truck in Minneapolis,” said Hogan in a memorable heel promo at the 1996 WCW pay-per-view event Bash at the Beach in Daytona Beach, Florida.
Bischoff and his wife, Loree, have houses in Cody, Wyoming; Scottsdale, Arizona; Stamford, Connecticut; and Los Angeles, California (married since 1984). MLW Radio launched Bischoff on Wrestling on July 27, 2016, which was Bischoff’s first podcast show to air. After October 17, 2017, he walked away from the show because he felt he was being underpaid. Eric Bischoff returns to podcasting in April 2018 with Conrad Thompson’s 83 Weeks with Eric Bischoff.
