Early Life
Travis Landon Barker was born in Fontana, California, on November 14, 1975. He was raised by his mother Gloria, who was a babysitter, his father Randy, who worked as a mechanic, and his two older sisters. Barker’s mother gave him a drum set when he was 4 years old, and the next year he started taking lessons. Travis also took trumpet lessons, learned to play the piano in junior high, and joined a choir for a short time.

He thought about becoming a professional surfer or skateboarder, but he decided that playing the drums was the best way for him to show who he was. Career
After graduating from high school, Barker played in the bands Snot and Feeble before joining the Aquabats, a ska-punk band founded in 1996 by Barker’s Feeble bandmate Chad Larson. Travis recorded one album with the Aquabats and toured with Blink-182; after Blink-182’s drummer left the group in 1998, Travis Barker became the band’s permanent drummer.

In 2001, Travis wed Melissa Kennedy, but the pair divorced nine months later. On October 30, 2004, he wed former Miss USA Shanna Moakler, one year after the birth of their son Landon. Alabama was born in December 2005, and Moakler has a daughter from a prior relationship with Oscar De La Hoya. In 2005 and 2006, 16 episodes of the reality show “Meet the Barkers” featured the Barker family. In 2008, Barker and Moakler divorced.
