Se Poong must go on another journey to improve himself and the lives of those around him because he has new patients and new problems to solve.

In the first season of Poong, The Joseon Psychiatrist, the main character, Yoon Se-Poong, gets involved in a plan to kill the king. The story is about what happens to him after he is kicked out of the royal kingdom and starts working at a clinic in a small village called Gyesu Village with Yoo Se-teacher, Poong’s Gye Ji-han, and a medical student named Seo Eun-woo.
In the first part of the 12th episode of Poong, The Joseon Psychiatrist, Commander Im Soon-man is killed in a strange way. Later, Poong, Seo, and Gye Ji come up with a plan to find out that state counselor Jo Tae Hak was really the one who killed the king.
He goes to the palace and helps the king find proof that the state counselor did something wrong. But Jo Tae Hak kills himself by taking poison before he can be arrested. He also heals the king when he is sick. After that, the king himself makes him the head acupuncturist.
At the end of the season, Poong gets what’s coming to him. He is cleared of all the false charges against him and gets justice for his father, who died because of the plot to kill the king. Poong’s win was even sweeter because he was finally able to bring back the good name and honor of his family.
So, the young King asks Poong to be the Royal Physician, which has always been his dream. Poong decides to stay because it has always been his dream. His choice to stay was also a way to restore his father’s honor, since Poong carried on his father’s work as the Royal Physician and served the King, just like his father had done. At the end of the show, Poong is seen leaving Hanyang for Gyesu.
There was laughter, mystery, fantasy, and romance in the season. Episode 12 was watched by an average of 5.1 percent of people across the country, which was close to its all-time high of 5.2 percent.
