As fans of the anthology series “Room 104” eagerly anticipate news about the possibility of a fifth season, the air is filled with excitement and speculation. The unique format of the show, with each episode telling a different story set in the same mysterious motel room, has captivated audiences since its debut.

Room 104, created by Mark and Jay Duplass, is an anthology series that delves into horror, thrillers, and humorous themes. The series is nearly entirely set in one motel room, with each episode focusing on a different character/guest. It debuted on HBO on July 28, 2017, and season 4 will air on July 24, 2020.

Is Room 104 Season 5 Renewed or Cancelled?

On October 9, 2020, Room 104 concluded with the airing of Season 4 Episode 12, Generations. Rebecca Hazlewood, Kaya Rose Davis, Susan Park, Kristina Hanna, Ntare Mwine, Saidah Ekulona Arrika, and Christopher Farrah all appear in the series finale. In an interview with Deadline in July 2020, series co-creator Mark Duplass discussed his emotions at the time.

“A little bittersweet,” the writer-actor explained. “This has been a great little side project that we started a few years ago, and it has unexpectedly become the focal point of what I enjoy doing. I’m glad we got the chance to do 48 episodes. In today’s TV show, Turn and Burn Rate, getting that many is unusual. So, while I want to be appreciative and thankful, I also feel like a spoiled little brat who wants to do more. So that’s where I’m at,” he explained.

There is no Room 104 Season 5 release date because the series concluded after four seasons.

So, season 5 of ‘Room 104′ has officially been canceled. However, Duplass did add that he has some additional ideas for continuing the series’ distinctive format in the future. He stated that the team has been debating how to treat ‘Room 104’ as a microcosm. Following the conclusion of season four, the crew has already brainstormed on the numerous learnings. He continued, “We’re talking about something that’s an organic systemic change, and I don’t have the answers yet, but I do agree that Room 104 DNA has some really good solutions.” As a result, while the current edition of ‘Room 104’ has come to an end, we can expect some new projects that follow in the footsteps of what made the original such a success. However, nothing is official yet. We will update this section as we learn more.
