They presented an announcement trailer in which they revealed that the newest sequel in the series had been confirmed for development.

Well, a small subset of the MIA fans believes that this upcoming sequel may also be a film. However, according to rumors, the future plot arc of the manga is too large to be covered in a film. As a result, in order to achieve an acceptable stopping point, the next sequel should most likely be a series rather than a movie.

When Do Made In Abyss Season 3 Productions Get start?

Is There Enough Source Material for Made In Abyss Season 3?

Kinema Citrus has officially announced that the third season will be renewed. The studio, on the other hand, has yet to commence production. One of the primary reasons for the delay is a shortage of source material. The anime’s makers did not have enough manga chapters to complete a full installment until recently. Fortunately, with the publication of Volume 9, the studio will only require one more manga volume.

The narrative of 26 manga chapters was covered in the first season of the TV anime (halfway through Volume 4). In contrast, the Dawn Of The Deep Soul film contained the Bondrewd plot arc, concluding with Chapter 38. With the recent publication of Volume 9, the manga currently has a total of 55 chapters. For the third season, this leaves us with only 17 chapters.

Made In Abyss Season 2 will require one additional manga volume from Kinema Citrus. Volume 10 is now scheduled to be released in the middle of 2021. As a result, the development of the next installment may begin once the tenth book is released.

The latest Made In Abyss film was released in Japanese theatres in January 2020. The English dubbed and subtitled versions were set to debut in the United States between April 13 and 15, 2020. The screenings, however, have been canceled owing to the unfortunate COVID-19 outbreak. Film screenings in theatres are still forbidden as of today. As a result, the anime film may not be released in the United States anytime soon.

Sentai Filmworks has licensed the series and films for English dubbed and subtitled releases in North America, the United Kingdom, and Ireland. As of yet, no new release date for Made In Abyss: Dawn Of The Deep Soul in the United States has been announced. According to the current scenario, it is difficult to predict when theatre screenings will restart. However, we are hopeful that everything will work out before the end of the year. Will There Be More Films in the Series?
