The trailer starts with two strangers, Maddie (Lohan) and James (Ed Speelers), engaging in what appears to be a flirty relationship on the bus. When Maddie mentions that she is going to a wedding, James congratulates her, presuming she is the bride.

Irish Wish began filming in Wicklow, Ireland’s east coast region, in 2022. Lohan was very excited to start this initiative because she has Irish ancestry. She never expected that working on set would strengthen her bond with her family and give her a better appreciation of her European origin.
