It is expected that in season 2, Jo will have to deal with Mackie, the police officer who used to be her father figure but is now crooked. But since Lee killed Chris Robinson because Mackie told him to and Mackie killed Daniel, it was clear that Jo did not agree with the plan. That didn’t stop Mackie from making mean threats against her, telling her that if she tried to stop him, he would do everything he could to bring her, Pat, and her father’s reputation into question.
Pat said he wouldn’t help Jo get justice for Daniel’s murder and get rid of the corrupt police officers who were around her, but he still said he’d do anything for his wife. In the last scene of the end, Jo, Pat, and their new baby were seen going to the police station, where they are greeted by the team.
And Jo walks to DCI Roy’s office with a serious face. Before she goes in, she turns around and looks at Pat again. Will she be able to carry out her plan to catch Mackie, even if it hurts Pat’s case and the case of her respected detective father?
