CEO of YouTube Susan Wojcicki is leaving her position. The executive, who has overseen the largest video-sharing platform in the world for nine years, has revealed that she will be leaving the firm to “concentrate on my family, health, and personal initiatives I’m passionate about.”
She will be succeeded by Neal Mohan, the company’s current chief product officer. Wojcicki has a lengthy history with Alphabet, the parent firm of YouTube, having joined Google in 1999.

The 54-year-old businesswoman informed her YouTube colleagues of her decision in a letter dated February 17. “To all the YouTubers I’ve collaborated with, thank you for helping to improve the service you provide. She said, “You enabled totally new kinds of art and narrative, and helped millions of creators and artists reach new audiences, resulting in the greatest creative economy the world has ever seen.”
Wojcicki, who has been with YouTube since 2014 and who was just promoted to CEO, will continue to teach employees. In a statement, Larry Page and Sergey Brin, co-founders of Google, expressed gratitude to the executive for her time and effort.
