Ned Fulmer has left the Try Guys, a successful YouTube comedy troupe, after confessing to “a consensual working relationship” with a coworker after photographs of them kissing were released on Reddit.
“Family should have always been my priority,” Fulmer, who created his image as one of the internet’s Wife Guys, said on Tuesday.

Fulmer’s departure from the Try Guys was also announced by the organization. “As a consequence of a thorough internal evaluation,” they stated in a statement, “we do not see a route ahead together.” “We appreciate your assistance as we negotiate this transition.”
The profile images on the official Try Guys accounts were also altered from caricatures of all the members to only the business logo. Fulmer was unfollowed on Twitter and Instagram.

The announcement came just hours after images surfaced on Reddit purportedly showing Fulmer kissing his coworker Alexandria Herring at a New York City bar.
Fulmer, Eugene Lee Yang, Zach Kornfeld, and Keith Habersberger founded the Try Guys in 2014 while working as BuzzFeed video producers, before launching their own channel in 2019 as 2nd Try LLC — “building an independent digital production firm, trousers optional.”
With over 7.8 million subscribers on their own platform, the foursome became known for their hilarious, test drive-style films, which frequently included members of their team, including editor YB Chang, video producer Herring, and podcast producer Miles Bonsignore. Tens of millions of people have seen videos like “The Try Guys Cook Dumplings Without a Recipe” and “Keith Eats Everything at Taco Bell.”
On Monday, now-deleted Reddit user hamilton390 shared photos of a pair they said were Fulmer and Herring kissing at Niagara, an East Village club.
“They weren’t even attempting to be secret,” wrote hamilton390. “the whole time they were kissing.”
Twitter revealed that the most trending subject on the platform on Tuesday was “Try Guys.”
Another Reddit user claimed to have spotted Fulmer and Herring together at a Harry Styles performance on September 1.
Fans on social media had observed that Fulmer had been taken out of the group’s most recent videos and had been edited out of the Try Guys theme song sequence in recent weeks.
Herring’s fiancé, Will Thayer, made his Instagram private following the Reddit post.
Since then, Fulmer and Herring have unfollowed each other on social media.

Chang, the Try Guys video editor, has also unfollowed both of them and posted Fulmer’s leaving notice on her Instagram story. “I realize things are busy right now,” she wrote, “but thank you for your support.” Herring, Chang, and Fulmer did not respond to a request for comment from BuzzFeed News. Members of the Try Guys did not respond to calls for comment either.
Fulmer has long written about his marriage. His wife, Ariel Fulmer, is a regular on the Try Guys channel, appearing in “Try DIY With Ned & Ariel” and “Try Wives” videos. They also co-wrote the cookbook Date Night Cookbook and co-hosted the podcast Baby Steps.
Ariel expressed gratitude to everyone who has reached out to her. “Nothing is more important to me and Ned than our family,” she said on Instagram, “and all we ask is that you respect our privacy for the sake of our children right now.”

The Fulmers’ journey as a couple and parents has been extensively covered on social media (Ned’s Instagram bio even includes “@arielmfulmer’s spouse”). Their first son, Wesley, was born to 15 million viewers on YouTube.
Jake LaRosa, who formerly ran the Try Guys’ second channel, commented on the incident on TikTok.
He captioned the video, “My final day was Friday,” while holding up Ned and Ariel’s Date Night Cookbook and saying, “Good morning to everyone except Adam Levine, John Mulaney, and…”
On social media, fans expressed their responses to the news.
