Ali Krieger and Ashlyn Harris, both of whom are successful on the soccer field, have welcomed a new member of their family. Krieger took to Instagram to tell their followers about the momentous occasion and thank them for their support.
She put pen to paper. Krieger started off by saying, “Welcome to the world, Ocean Maeve! ” “We couldn’t be more excited to have two lovely babies to share our lives with, and we couldn’t be happier about the expansion of our family!”
She held the baby while it slept soundly in her arms. “Baby Boy, you are already so cherished and treasured, and it makes me so proud to be your Mommy,” the adoring mother continued to say to her newborn son.
Harris also shared the news that she is expecting a beautiful baby girl with her audience. In the email, she stated, “My wife and I are overjoyed to announce that we have adopted a little boy.” The elated mother went on to express her gratitude to everyone for their support by stating, “During this time, our hearts are full, and we are so grateful for the love and support our family, friends, and club have shown.”
Sloane Is The Name of the Daughter
In addition, the power couple is parents to a young girl named Sloane Phillips, whom they took in as a foster child approximately a year ago.
2015 and 2019 were the years that the couple were crowned champions of the FIFA Women’s World Cup. When asked about the steps they took to become parents, they stated, “Our path to become new moms and parents began when COVID hit.” The idea that the couple will one day start a family seemed so obvious to them that it was almost laughable.
They decided to start their family through the adoption process for their first kid. However, they were taken aback when they received a phone call after a period of three weeks. Harris noted how “very rapidly and quite abruptly” their life had transformed.
The legendary soccer player and his wife have seen positive changes in their lives as a result of becoming parents. Krieger was quoted as saying, “I think something that’s translated from motherhood to the soccer field for us, I can definitely say for me, patience and a little bit more strength.”
Harris continued by saying, “When I walk in the door, Sloane doesn’t care if I won a world championship; she just wants her mom.” Sloane is just interested in her mother.
In addition to this, she stated, “I’m not thinking about a horrible performance or the goal I should have saved or if we won or lost, I’m just thinking about being the best version of myself, to be a wonderful mom when I return home.”
The Nature of Their Relationship
Back in March of 2019, the ecstatic couple disclosed to the general public that they had begun a romantic relationship. This occurred just a few months after both of them had been a part of the United States women’s national team that won the World Cup.
“For a very long time, there was an elephant in the room, and we were thinking to ourselves, this is so stupid. Harris recalled how they were squandering a significant portion of their lives by living a lie. They are relieved that they did, in fact, tell the world about their experience now.
The next step for the couple was to tie the knot in December of the same year. The parents spoke on how Sloane has been doing well and how he greets the day by saying, “Baby, baby.” Sloane can’t wait to welcome her new baby brother into the world!
They are aware that both of their children are younger than 2 years old, so the new parents are prepared for the sleepless nights that are sure to come their way. As the new parents adjust to life at home with their newborn child, they have been inundated with messages of congratulations from friends and family.
