Overseas viewers look forward to each week’s fantasy and drama in ‘Alchemy of Souls’ Since its June 18 launch, the show’s audience has been expanding every week. The Saturday-Sunday drama starring Jung So Min and Lee Jae Wook won’t show next week.
Episodes 15 and 16 will air as scheduled on August 6 and 7, while episodes 17 and 18 will air on August 20 and 21. During break week, a highlight broadcast covering the show’s main narrative will air on the first day, and a special broadcast with ‘Alchemy of Souls’ actors will air on the second.
The production crew of ‘Alchemy of Souls’ apparently wants to improve the show’s second half.
‘Alchemy of Souls’ stars Jung So Min, Lee Jae Wook, Hwang Min Hyun, Shin Seung Ho, Arin, and Yoo In Soo. Jang Uk and Mudeok, who have twisted fortunes, fall in love. Season 2 is expected, however, it’s unknown if the protagonists will return.

“After much discussion with the actress and a mutual exchange of thoughts, it was determined that she would step down,” a tvN representative told Soompi.
Before leaving, the actress read the script but was replaced by Jung So Min.
Will Jung So Min Return for Season 2?
Alchemy of Souls will return for season 2 according to tvN, although Jung So Min will be replaced by a different female protagonist.

According to a source, the 33-year-old actor won’t be back for the eagerly anticipated sequel; instead, Go Youn Jung will serve as the show’s executive producer for season 2.
Lee Jae Wook – Jang Uk, Hwang Min Hyun, Shin Seung Ho, Yoo Joon Sang, Oh Na Ra, Yoo In Soo, Arin, and Do Sang Woo will all be appearing with the new female lead.
According to the same story, Blossom Entertainment, the agency that represented Jung So Min at the time, clarified that the actress did not quit the show but rather “she signed the contract to only appear in part 1.”

Park Hae Eun withdrew from Alchemy of Souls once the cast for the tvN series was announced.
According to a source quoted by Star News in July, the newcomer actress quit her job as Mu Deok because she was under “a lot of strain” in it.
Soompi translated what the tvN spokesperson said, “Therefore, after much discussion with the actress and with respect to a mutual exchange of viewpoints, it was determined that she would step down from the part.”
The actress took part in the script reading before deciding to leave the drama series, but she subsequently made the decision to quit, and Jung So Min took her place.
