On Thursday, her family announced that Ivana Trump, the former first lady, and mother of Trump’s three eldest children, had passed away. To put it another way, her age was 73.

Her daughters released a statement saying, “It is with tremendous regret that we announce the demise of our dear mother, Ivana Trump.” Our mom was a powerhouse in the corporate world, a star on the athletic field, a stunning beauty, and a devoted mother and friend. Ivana Trump made it through a tough ordeal.
She ran away from communism and found a new home in the United States. She instilled in them the values of perseverance, kindness, and hard work. They (her mother, three children, and ten grandkids) will miss her very much.

Police were called to her Upper East Side home, and she was reportedly discovered near the foot of the steps.
According to ABC, investigators are looking into the possibility that she fell and died. According to an original ABC story, authorities assumed her death was accidental.
Ivana Trump, whose birth name was Zelnickova, started skiing at a young age and eventually became a world champion. She was born on February 20, 1949, in what was then Czechoslovakia.
According to her lawyer at the time, she married her friend and Austrian ski instructor Alfred Winklmayr in 1971 in order to flee communist Czechoslovakia and get Austrian citizenship. They officially split up in 1973.
After that, she uprooted to Canada, where she modeled and taught skiing.

She was previously married to Italian entrepreneur Riccardo Mazzucchelli (1995-1997) and to Italian actor and model Rossano Rubicondi (1997-2000), both of whom she divorced (2008-09).
Donald Trump hosted her wedding to Rubicondi at his Mar-a-Lago resort. Her maid of honor was Ivanka Trump.
Their relationship was scrutinized again in the public eye during her ex-2016 husband’s presidential campaign.
Ivana Trump accused Donald Trump of rape in a divorce deposition that was made public in the 1993 book “Lost Tycoon: The Many Lives of Donald J. Trump” and later appeared again during his presidential campaign. He said that wasn’t true.
When the book came out, Ivana made a statement explaining that while she “felt violated,” she did not want the word “rape” to be “interpreted in a literal or criminal sense.”
