The BCCI on Tuesday announced that Axar Patel has been added to the squad of the test team, leading to the removal of Kuldeep Yadav from the team. The second test is scheduled to start from March 12 in Bengaluru. Kuldeep Yadav was added to the squad as a replacement to Axar Patel but he couldn’t find a place in the playing XI in the first test. Kuldeep Yadav has been out of form for the past 2 years and hasn’t cemented his place in the squad post recovery. Axar Patel has looked in red hot form since the home series against England in 2020.
