Sasha Banks Net Worth: She is a professional wrestler born on Jan 26, 1992 in Fairfield, California, U.S.
Early Years
Mercedes Justine Kaestner-Vardano was born in Fairfield, California on January 26, 1992. She was born into a family with deep ties to the entertainment world. Snoop Dogg, Brandy Norwood, Ray J, and Daz Dillinger are Banks’ cousins.
Mercedes, who was raised in a mixed-ethnicity family with an autistic sibling, relocated to Minnesota at a young age. After the family arrived in Boston, she became active in the local wrestling scene. As a young child, Kaestner-Vardano attended an online school and was highly influenced by All Japan Women’s Pro-Wrestling.
Career
In 2008, Mercedes began her training, earning her stripes at Chaotic Wrestling in Massachusetts. Originally, she competed under the ring name Mercedes KV. During her early career, she worked closely with Nikki Roxx in numerous team matches.
In her 2010 debut, she was defeated by Danny E. In 2011, she won her first tag-team bout against Alexxis alongside Nikki Roxx. She was then eliminated after participating in a five-woman gauntlet battle. She continued to compete in singles contests during the following period, eventually defeating Alexxis to win the Chaotic Wrestling Women’s Championship for the first time.
In 2012, she defended her title against Barbie, Luscious Latasha, Alexxis, and even Nikki Roxx, her former colleague. Mercedes defended her title once more in a fatal four-way match to become the longest-reigning Chaotic Women’s Wrestling Champion in history.
In 2012, she made her final appearance in Chaotic Wrestling, losing to Ivy Fit. By this time, she had set her sights on greater accomplishments.
During this time, Mercedes also competed in independent wrestling circuits such as the New England Championship Wrestling and the National Wrestling Alliance, adopting the ring moniker “Miss Mercedes” on occasion. After a successful tryout camp in 2012, she quit all of these organisations and secured a contract with WWE.
This was the first time she acquired the stage name Sasha Banks. In 2012, she began her career in NXT and had her televised debut when she lost to Paige. In 2013, she defeated Alicia Fox for the first time.
The conclusion of Sasha’s first major storyline, a feud with Audrey Marie, occurred when Banks and Paige defeated Marie and Summer Rae. Later that year, she would ultimately lose to Summer Rae in the NXT Women’s Championship competition.
After attacking Paige, Sasha became a villain over time. Summer Rae and Banks teamed up to defeat Paige, Emma, Bayley, and Charlotte in various subsequent matches.
Banks appeared at WrestleMania XXX in 2014. The subsequent loss of the NXT Women’s Championship resulted in a feud with the current champion, Charlotte. Banks has lost a series of matches to Charlotte, but she made her debut on WWE’s main roster later in 2014, losing to Charlotte once more.
Banks manages to pin Charlotte in a deadly four-way match at NXT TakeOver: Rival, following yet another defeat versus Charlotte. This earned her the championship for the first time, and she defended it by defeating Charlotte in a rematch.
Before losing to Bayley, she successfully defended the title against multiple challengers. The duration of her reign was 192 days. Banks was then defeated by Bayley in her final NXT match.
Following his departure from NXT, Banks competed for the “Raw” brand. Banks rapidly established a streak of victories and set her sights on the Divas Championship. This was afterwards renamed the WWE Women’s Championship, which she won in 2016 by defeating Charlotte.
However, she swiftly lost her title in a rematch against Charlotte after only 27 days. The WWE Women’s Championship was renamed the Raw Women’s Championship, and Banks regained her championship by defeating Charlotte in the October main event.
She and Bayley proceeded to perform successfully over the next few years, earning the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship in 2019.
Later that year, reports began to circulate that Sasha was depressed and disillusioned with the WWE. McMahon ultimately dismissed her request to be released from her contract. Banks then took a break to reflect on her career. She returned to the WWE and continued to compete after a brief sabbatical.
