Ricardo Daniel Pepi was born on January 9, 2003. He is an American professional soccer player who plays as a striker for Bundesliga club FC Augsburg and the United States national team.
Ricardo Pepi’s Early Life
Pepi grew up in San Elizario, Texas, near El Paso. Pepi routinely crossed the border to see relatives in Ciudad Juárez, therefore he has Mexican heritage.
Pepi started playing recreational soccer in the El Paso leagues at the age of four.
He quickly joined a club led by his father, Daniel Pepi.

The club would soon be linked with MLS team FC Dallas, who noticed Pepi after the 2016 Copa Chivas event and invited him to join the FC Dallas development system.
Pepi started his debut season with the under-13 side and scored 18 goals in 15 games, propelling him up the club’s tiers.
After only eight games with the under-17 team, he scored 19 goals.

Ricardo Pepi’s Career
According to his Instagram account @Ricardo_Pepi9 On June 21, 2019, FC Dallas announced the signing of attacker Ricardo Pepi as their 26th Homegrown player.
On December 6, 2018, Pepi became the first player to join the North Texas Soccer Club in the club’s existence. It was against the Chattanooga Red Wolves that he made his official debut on March 31, 2019, and he scored his first professional hat trick.
Later in his career, Pepi appeared in 13 matches with North Texas SC, scoring 11 goals, including two goals in the USL League One Semifinal on Oct. 12 against forwarding Madison, which helped the team advance to the USL League One Final.

International Career
Pepi was born in America and so qualified to play for both Mexico and the USA.
He has previously trained with both the US and Mexican under-17 teams.
Raphael Wicky named Pepi to the US U-17 roster for the CONCACAF U-17 Championship on April 22, 2019.
To assist the USA to reach the final, Pepi scored twice against Canada on May 12. Pepi was re-selected for the under-17 team in October 2019 for the FIFA U-17 World Cup.
On August 26, 2021, Pepi was named to Gregg Berhalter’s US World Cup qualifying team for 2022.
To celebrate his debut, Pepi scored the winning goal in a 4–1 away victory against Honduras on September 8, 2021.
His second goal gave the USA a 2–1 advantage. He scored twice in a 2–0 qualifying triumph against Jamaica in Austin, Texas.
