Minelli has been married four times, each time ending in divorce. She married Peter Allen, a well-known Australian entertainer, in 1967. Liza filed for divorce in 1974 after learning that Allen was homosexual. Liza married Jack Haley Jr. the same year. Jack Haley Sr., Jack’s father, played the Tin Man in “The Wizard of Oz.” By 1979, this marriage had ended in divorce.

Minnelli later married sculptor, Mark Gero. They were married until 1992 when they divorced. Minnelli married concert promoter David Gest in 2002. This relationship would only last a year. Gest later claimed that he had been subjected to domestic abuse after Minnelli became drunk and enraged. Liza has also dated celebrities such as Peter Sellers and Martin Scorsese.
