Axl Rose Net Worth: Axl Rose was born on February 6, 1962 in Lafayette, Indiana as William Bruce Rose, Jr. Rose’s mother, Sharon, was 16 at the time of his birth, and his father, William Sr., was 20. Rose’s parents divorced when he was two years old, and his father abducted and allegedly raped him before fleeing town.

Rose’s mother later married Stephen L. Bailey and legally changed her son’s name to William Bruce Bailey. Rose thought Bailey was his biological father until he was 17 years old. (In 1984, his biological father, William Rose Sr., was assassinated in Marion, Illinois.)

Rose was raised in a pious household; he was forced to attend Pentecostal church services three to eight times per week and to teach Sunday school.

In the early 1990s, Rose became a firm believer in homoeopathy, a pseudoscientific system of alternative medicine. He would go through former life regression therapy on a regular basis.

Rose employed a personal psychic to look at images of potential employees and “read their auras” to evaluate whether or not they should be hired while Chinese Democracy was being recorded.

Rose began dating model Erin Everly, the daughter of Everly Brothers singer Don Everly, in early 1986. Rose penned “Sweet Child o’ Mine” for Everly in 1987, and she starred in the music video. The pair married four years later, in the spring of 1990, in Las Vegas.

Rose owns a property in Malibu, California. According to public records, he paid $3.6 million for the 4,333-square-foot home in 1992. Axl saved several of his neighbours’ homes in 2008 when a fire that raged across the neighbourhood early in the morning.

Axl allegedly forced the house’s gate open and hosed down the yard when one of his neighbours was out of town. Opening the gate also made it easier for firemen to get access to other nearby threatened houses.
