The apocalyptic horror K-series Sweet Home on Netflix is coming back! On June 15, the streamer gave the show two more seasons, which will be made right after each other. Lee Eung-bok, who was in charge of Season 1, will be back to direct both Seasons 2 and 3.
The first season of Sweet Home came out on Netflix on December 18, 2020. It was the first original South Korean show to make Netflix’s Top 10 list in the US, peaking at number 3. In the end, it was number one in eight global regions and in the top 10 in 42 regions.
Sweet Home Season 2 Netflix Renewal Status
After 18 months since the first season of Sweet Home came out on Netflix, the streaming service has finally confirmed that the show will return for a second season, which is now in production.
In March 2022, we told you that several pictures on Song Kang’s manager’s Instagram page showed that the contract would be renewed. Some people questioned whether or not the picture was real, but that doesn’t matter anymore since the show will be back.
Sweet Home Season 3 is Confirmed
Sweet Home has also been picked up for a third season, which will make fans very happy.
“Seasons 2 and 3 are now being made,” the video’s description says. This makes it seem likely that both seasons could be filmed at the same time, with a short break in between.
Sweet Home 2 Release Date
After the first season of the South Korean apocalyptic horror drama Sweet Home (Korean: RR: Seuwiteuhom) was very good, Netflix announced that there would be a second and third season in June 2022. The second season is already being made. We don’t yet know when Season 2 of Sweet Home will come out. So, the new season probably won’t be dropped until 2023 or later.
Cast Update for Sweet Home Season 2
We had previously said that actress and K-Pop singer BIBI (Kim Hyung-Seo) had been confirmed to star in the second season of Sweet Home. However, we just found out that she has left the show and stepped down from the role.
She left because her schedule didn’t work out, and the role is now being played by a different actor.
#BIBI reportedly stepped down from #SweetHome2, 2 weeks after joining.
An official said “I thought the role suited her image well, but we’re not sure why she left. The role will be played by another actor.” https://t.co/DOVZZomPSz#KoreanUpdates VF pic.twitter.com/3ZAhWl6xPI

Reviews
Because of the lockdown and COVID, Hollywood isn’t making nearly as much video entertainment as it used to. As a result, I’ve been watching international TV shows that are still being made.
I’m so glad I found this hidden gem of a TV show to watch. It’s really great! Aside from a few foreign cultural references, most of this show was easy for me to understand. In fact, it’s better than most of what Hollywood makes these days. The acting is good enough.
All of the supporting actors and actresses in this show did a great job. The snowy landscapes and post-apocalyptic cityscapes in the movie were very beautiful. There were a lot of computer-made creatures in this show, and even though they weren’t real, they were convincing enough to overlook this small flaw.
Even if the CGI had been done in the west with the best CGI available, it would have been hard to make this movie seem real because there are so many creatures in it.
I watched the whole series in two days because I thought it was good. 8/10 is a great grade for a show that isn’t about the west. Take a look!
