About Big Bet Season 2

Kang Yoon-sung wrote and directed the drama Big Bet, which is about a self-made gambler in the Philippines named Cha Mu-sik (played by Choi Min-Sik) who is known as the “Casino King.” After getting caught up in a complicated murder case, Cha tries to get his reputation back in the game.

Detective Oh Seung-hoon, who is sent to the police desk in the Philippines and is played by Son Sukku, tries to solve this murder case while chasing Mu-Sik. Lee Dong-Hwi plays Jeong-pal, Mu-loyal sik’s right-hand man. Big Bet also stars Heo Sung-tae (Squid Game, The Silent Sea), Kim Joo-ryeong (Squid Game), Jin Sun-kyu (The Outlaws, Extreme Job), Son Eun-seo (The Voice S1-4), and others.

At the press conference for the drama on Wednesday (Dec. 14), the actors talked about their characters and how they connected with the role they were playing. They also talked about what happened on set. Choi Min-Sik, a veteran actor who hasn’t been on TV for 25 years, said that it didn’t feel like he’d been away for a long time because the scenes were real and the actors acted out emotions that were close to real. It was both hard and fun for him to play the part of Mu-Sik.

Lee Dong-Hwi, who plays Mu-right-hand sik man, said more about how real the scenes are: “This show gives a lot to think about. I often thought about what I would have done if I were in Jeong-place. pal’s As Jeong-pal goes through many different situations, I try to show them as they really are.” The actor said that for character development, he focused on how he looked to show a mature personality that fit the character.

Son Sukku has nothing but good things to say about working with Choi Min-Sik on set. He says, “It was a whole new experience for me. I was amazed by him and have the utmost respect for him.” During the drama, both characters worked close to each other, and Son said that Choi’s acting was so real and natural that he didn’t feel like he was watching a play.
