Gainax Studio is responsible for producing the anime television series Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt, which is also referred to as Panti and Sutokkingu with Gtberuto in the original language of Japan. The series has spawned a number of different forms of tie-in media.
The first episode of Season 1 of Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt aired on October 2, 2010, making it a rather veteran program. Panty & Stocking in Sanitarybox was a special episode of Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt that was broadcast on April 28, 2011, following the success of the anime show and the manga adaptation of the same name. Despite the fact that viewers of the show have been clamoring for a second season for quite some time, we have not yet received any information regarding Season 2. Panty & Stocking With Garterbelt Season 2 Release Date
The first episode of Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt season 1 was broadcast on the first of October in 2010, and the special episode was made available on the 28th of April in 2011. In spite of the fact that ten years have passed since then, it does not appear that there will be a second season.
This is very discouraging, especially when one considers the fact that the vast majority of anime series are renewed during the first five years of their run; as a result, there is a significant chance that the show will not be continued. Panty & Stocking With Garterbelt Plot
Although the show’s name is a bit risqué, it’s not really about panties and stockings. They instead focus on two angels exiled from Heaven because of their immoral behavior: Panty and Stocking. They are transferred to Daten City, which is positioned on the boundary between Heaven and Hell, after their expulsion.
While in Daten City, Panty and Stocking encounter an attack of malevolent spirits known only as “Ghosts,” which have left the city in ruins. In an effort to regain their rightful place in Heaven, the sisters seek refuge with reverend Garterbelt, their preacher-man boss, and use their special abilities to eradicate the Ghosts. As a result, they use their undergarments as weapons in their battle against the Ghosts, which is a somewhat unconventional approach.
The only problem with Panty and Stocking’s plan is that they don’t seem to take their responsibilities seriously. Stocking’s “hobbies” include sleeping with anybody she can get her hands on while Panty’s “hobbies” include suffocating herself with sugar at every opportunity.
It follows the Anarchy sisters as they try to live a life of immorality in Daten City while occasionally battling evil spirits.
Characters of Panty & Stocking With Garterbelt Characters
Panty, one of the show’s primary protagonists, is an angel with blond hair and pale skin whose favorite activity is sleeping with men. Panty demonstrates no remorse despite being banished from Heaven and condemned to Daten City; she continues to pursue her personal goal of sleeping with 1,000 different men. Panty, who is not the most pleasant of angels, is typically harsh and unpleasant to anyone around her, including her sister, the reverend Garterbelt, and the men she sleeps with.
Panty appears to like the celebrity lifestyle and frequently basks in her status as an Anarchy sister. Despite all of these problems, Panty occasionally displays a great deal of affection for Stocking and strives to act in her sister’s best interest. Regarding her talents, Panty has the ability to turn her pants into a handgun called Backlace. On occasion, she is also observed weaponizing Stocking’s underwear so that she can utilize two Backlaces.
Intriguingly, Panty also has the ability to change men’s underwear into weapons, the size and strength of which are dependent on the size of the original wearer’s penis. Stocking, the second primary protagonist of the program, is an angel with a pale complexion, pink and violet hair, and a seemingly insatiable craving for sweets. Despite her gluttony, Stocking claims that the fat from the sugary foods she consumes is absorbed by her breasts. Stocking, on the surface, appears to be calmer and more considerate than Panty, yet he can be just as threatening if he chooses to be. It appears that Stocking is more interested in bondage and electrocution than Panty is when it comes to sexual desire, and she prefers these activities over intercourse. She has the ability to turn stockings into two katanas dubbed Stripe I and Stripe II with her talents.
Garterbelt is a huge black man with an afro who acts as the protector of the Anarchy sisters in Daten City. To keep Panty and Stocking in line, he relays mission instructions from Heaven to them. He is always frustrated by the sisters’ irregular and indulgent behavior.
Garterbelt spends a lot of time and effort attempting to keep Daten City in order, but he also has a thing for younger men and engages in bondage. It turns out that Garterbelt has a troubled background despite his profession as a reverend and sworn servant of God. He was once involved in robberies and prostitution and even committed murder. On one of his heists, Garterbelt is gunned down, but God offers him a second chance and orders him to find the relatives of Hell’s Monkey, who has the key to Hell’s Gate.
When Garterbelt refuses, God curses him with immortality and banishes him to Daten City, where he is unable to die until he completes his mission. The show’s ghost-hunting sidekick, Chuck, despite his lack of prominence, is a crucial part of Panty and Stocking’s team.
As a messenger for Heaven, Chuck is a green dog-like creature with zippers all over his body. He is frequently abused by the Anarchy sisters. With his ability to turn himself inside out, Chuck may be highly handy in combat and transforms himself into an enormous, horned beast.
An essential supporting character in the program, Brief is a self-proclaimed Ghost Hunter, fascinated by science fiction and the unexplained.
A.K.A. “Geekboy” by his fellow Anarchy women, Brief attempts to be the voice of reason among the Anarchy sisters, but his efforts are largely fruitless. Panty doesn’t seem to notice that Brief has a thing for him. Brief is almost always seen with his rucksack, which has the capacity to detect Ghosts and generate smokescreens if necessary. When Brief is discovered to be a relative of Hell’s Monkey, his penis serves as the key to Hell’s gates.
