We finally got some news regarding the upcoming Hocus Pocus sequel almost 30 years after the release of the first Hocus Pocus film. Even more thrilling is the fact that three of the original cast members from the 1993 film, Bettle Middler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy, are all returning to play their parts. It has been three years since the confirmation of the sequel, and it was in the year 2021 that we found out that the screenplay was being written by Jen D’Angelo (writer for Young Rock and Workaholics), and that Anne Fletcher (director of movies such as The Guilt Trip, Hot Pursuit, and Dumplin’) was going to direct it. Do you remember when this happened?
Now that we have reached this point, it is time to discuss the status of the next sequel in terms of its release date and its trailer. This is everything that we know about the second installment of Hocus Pocus.
When Will Hocus Pocus 2 Be Released?
According to digitalspy, Hocus Pocus 2 will be available on Disney+ on September 30. The only question now is whether you can wait until Halloween to watch it.

Now, all we can do is wait for Hocus Pocus 2, but you can always watch the first movie again on Disney+ to fill that witch-shaped hole in your life.

Hocus Pocus 2 Trailer Debunked!
After waiting for close to two months to release an official shot from the film, Disney has finally given us access to the teaser for Hocus Pocus 2. Despite the fact that it is only 1.21 minutes long and reveals very little, it is still something that should be discussed.
If you recall, the Sanderson Sisters all passed away at the conclusion of the first Hocus Pocus film; so, when it was announced that there would be a sequel, everyone was curious about how the Sanderson Sisters would appear again. In any case, this is exactly what the teaser trailer concentrates on, showing us the Sanderson Sisters after they have been resurrected.
Becca, played by Whitney Peak, and Izzy, played by Belissa Escobedo, are two of the high school students that carry out a ceremony on the evening of Becca’s 16th birthday celebration. The video begins by introducing us to the kids of the high school.
The Sanderson Sisters are brought back to life as a result of the adolescents’ ceremony, which is successful according to the tradition that a witch achieves full power on her sixteenth birthday, as the man who works at the magic shop explains to the girls. A man approaches the three sisters as they wait in line to enter a festival and guesses that they are seeking for the stage. The scene ends with the man making his prediction. The response that Winnie (Bette Middler) gives is uncomplicated yet enduring; it is “Always.”
Unfortuitously, the Hocus Pocus 2 trailer cuts off at that point; however, we are confident that we will get another video in a few weeks, and that it will be longer than the first one because there is still some time until the movie is released.

What Will Happen in the Second Installment of the Hocus Pocus Film Series?
As can be seen in the movie’s trailer, the storyline of the second film will center on three young adults who, via a series of unfortunate events, bring the Sanderson Sisters back to life. Once the group of witches has been resurrected, the three young ladies will band forces to put a stop to the witches who are hungry for children.
That is, more or less, all that can be said regarding the storyline of the follow-up. At least we are aware of the actors who will play the characters in question. As was previously announced, the Sanderson Sisters, Winnie, Sarah, and Mary, will be performed by the same actresses who originated the roles in the original production.
Whitney Peak, Lilia Buckingham, and Belissa Escobedo are the three young actresses who perform the roles of the three young women. It’s possible that you’re already familiar with Peak’s work because of her part as Zoya Lott in the Gossip Girl revival (2021-), which is currently airing.
Buckingham, on the other hand, is most commonly recognized for her participation in a number of online series in which she portrays the same character, Autumn Miller. A few examples of these series are Zoe Valentine (2018-2019), Chicken Girls (2018), and Total Eclipse (2018-2019). (2019- ).
Last but not least, Escobedo is well-known for their work on American Horror Stories, Sex Appeal, and The Baker and the Beauty. Because they are working alongside three of the most renowned females in Hollywood, we have no doubt that these up-and-coming performers will bring their A game.
