This summer, season 2 of Power Book III: Raising Kanan will return to our televisions. The drama series from the 1990s serves as a prelude to Power. The popular Starz drama depicts Kanan Stark’s adolescent years (Mekai Curtis). Kanan was once a trusting teenager, but now he is deeply involved in his queenpin mother Raquel “Raq” Thomas’ (Patina Miller) heroin trade.
He has, however, miscalculated what it means to live in the same environment as his mother and his uncles Marvin (London Brown) and Lou Lou (Malcolm Mays). Miller has warned fans that it will be incredibly unexpected as season 2 approaches.
The third Power Book, Raising Kanan On August 14, Season 2 will begin
The acclaimed drama series Raising Kanan is scheduled to return for a second season on August 14 and is set in 1993, one year after the conclusion of the first season. Kanan and Raq will experience the consequences of their decisions this season.
Raq continues to maintain her dominance as Queens’ top narcotics dealer. Kanan, meanwhile, will deal with the fallout from shooting Detective Malcolm Howard (Omar Epps). He’ll probably discover the truth regarding Howard’s relationship to him as well.
The multi-talented @patinamiller shares about starring as Kanan’s mother in the hit series #RaisingKanan, why the role reminds her of her own mother growing up, and spills some tea about the show’s upcoming season!

Season 2 is Quite Unanticipated
A season 2 teaser trailer has already been made available by Starz as we prepare to return to Kanan’s realm. Miller, though, advises supporters to be ready for the unexpected.
The Tony Award winner told Vanity Fair, “It is really unexpected.” And since it wouldn’t happen without him, I’ll mention Sascha Penn one more time. His attention to detail, his use of scene structure, and really just the variety of events involving these characters and how smoothly everything fits together and has a purpose are all impressive.
In this world, every character has a unique purpose. It is, in fact, excellent television. And because that was only the beginning, you’re not prepared for this second season. We were getting to know these folks, and now there are no longer any relationships. Can we turn around after that? Family is family, you know.
Will they reunite again? They won’t they? And in the second season, we deal with that quite a bit. Every action had repercussions. What do you do and do you go back? Will Raq retain her throne or will she abdicate it? Therefore, it’s quite intriguing. I can’t wait for folks to see.
Breeze might make an appearance in Season 2 of “Raising Kanan.”
It’s possible that we will eventually meet Breeze, Kanan’s mentor, in season 2, in addition to the shock and amazement that Curtis is alluding to. Later, he and Breeze would train Tommy and Ghost (Omari Hardwick) (Joseph Sikora).
