Perry Mason Season 2 Release Date: HBO’s Perry Mason returns for its second season after a three-year hiatus. This is the most recent work featuring famous criminal defense lawyer Perry Mason, a character created by author Erle Stanley Gardner.
Unlike other stories about Perry Mason, this adaptation begins with the character as an idealistic lawyer and follows Mason, played by Emmy-winning actor Matthew Rhys (The Americans), as a morally grey private investigator who eventually becomes a lawyer in a last-ditch effort to salvage a case he’s working on.

In Season 2, there will be a lot of new faces, like Sean Astin from Lord of the Rings, Paul Raci from Sound of Metal, Tommy Dewey, and Jen Tullock.
According to Deadline, Astin will play Sunny Gryce, who “embodies the American Dream… to a fault.” The new client of Perry and Della is a force to be reckoned with in the battle between two supermarkets in town, and he’ll make sure he gets his money’s worth from his fancy new lawyers.

Tullock will play “Anita St. Pierre,” a successful screenwriter who has made a name for herself in a world dominated by men. Anita crashes into Della’s life and shows her a side of life and love that she’s been missing. She’s stylish, sure of herself, and funny.
Sister Alice’s actress, Tatiana Maslany, won’t be back for Season 2. People say that this is because of scheduling problems, which are likely caused by her role as She-Hulk in the MCU.
What is the Plotline of Perry Mason Season 2?
Perry Mason Season 2 is set in 1933, according to Whigham, who plays Perry’s former partner Pete Strickland. It begins with the title character’s firm accepting civil cases rather than criminal cases.
That means Drake is working on his own until the season’s main climax kicks into high gear. Perry is also “in the soup,” which means he’s in trouble, according to Whigham. He doesn’t go into detail, but perhaps Mason is still haunted by his World War I experiences.
Perry did have a drinking problem in Season 1, and 1933 was the year prohibition ended.
If you want to learn more about Season 2, HBO has released an official plot synopsis & Trailer:
Months after the Dodson case has come to an end, the scion of a powerful oil family is brutally murdered. When the DA goes to the city’s Hoovervilles to pinpoint the most obvious of suspects, Perry, Della, and Paul find themselves at the center of a case that will uncover far reaching conspiracies and force them to reckon with what it truly means to be guilty.
