Prior to the episode’s premiere, advertising materials for “In A Flash” hinted at the impending lightning storm and ensuing havoc.
As anticipated, the 118 are called to action and confront the storm head-on as they race to save lives, putting their own lives at risk once again.
Buck tends to find himself in the line of fire as the crew reacts to an avalanche of crises involving lightning strikes. The episode preview depicts Buck being struck while responding to a 911, and the synopsis adds fuel to the fire by stating that the episode “leaves a first responder’s life in jeopardy.”
Is Oliver Stark’s Buck leaving 911?
Buck is shown being struck by lightning while on a call in the midseason opener of the sixth season of 911, and it does not seem good.
This, along with the fact that the episode’s synopsis hinted that a member of the 118’s life was in jeopardy, prompted viewers to wonder if Buck’s departure from 911 was imminent. Is Oliver Stark thus leaving the series?
Buck does incur a major injury when he is hit by lightning in “In A Flash,” but it does not appear that the damage is fatal, as Oliver Stark has not announced his departure from the program.
Stark is still a member of the 911 cast and has continued to share behind-the-scenes photos that appear to have been taken after the midseason premiere was filmed.
All of this appears to indicate that Stark is staying put, which makes sense considering his popularity among fans and his position as one of the show’s main characters.
