Netflix Announced the Release Date of “Heart of Stone” in August 2023

Heart of Stone, a new spy thriller starring Gal Gadot and Jamie Dornan from The Tourist, has a release date confirmed by Netflix.

Heart of Stone will be released on August 11 as part of the streaming giant’s jam-packed 2023 film slate announcement video (which you can watch below).

The film, written by Greg Rucka and Allison Schroeder of The Old Guard, stars Gadot as intelligence agent Rachel Stone, the only woman standing between her powerful organization and the loss of its most valuable – and dangerous – asset.

Dornan plays Parker, and the cast also includes Alia Bhatt, Sophie Okonedo, Army of the Dead’s Matthias Schweighöfer, Jing Lusi, and Paul Ready.

“Heart of Stone is going to be extremely epic,” Gadot teased in a behind-the-scenes featurette released for the film last year.

“It’s a really grounded, raw action thriller.” We wanted to make sure it was as realistic as possible so that people could feel the pain. Rachel Stone is addicted to adrenaline and lives off of it.”

“There’s so much going on, and it’s on such a grand scale,” Dornan added. In other Gadot news, Patty Jenkins’ plans for a third Wonder Woman film were reportedly rejected last month.

The news was followed by rumors that Gadot had apparently been fired from the role of Diana Prince, though DC’s new co-CEO James Gunn set the record straight in response to a fan who said the decision to “boot” the actress “doesn’t inspire confidence”.

“I’m not sure where you’re getting the idea that we ‘booted’ Gal,” he retorted.

Heart of Stone will premiere on Netflix on August 11, 2023.
