L.A.’s Finest has been available on Netflix for almost two years, but it is about to leave in several regions. The television show L.A.’s Finest was a Spectrum Originals production that aired in 2019 and 2020. Gabrielle Union and Jessica Alba play two LAPD detectives who team up to take on the toughest criminals in the city in this spin-off of the Bad Boys movie series.
Los Angeles is the setting for the show, which had 26 episodes over two seasons. Along with the majority of other Spectrum Originals, it was abruptly canceled. Seasons 1 and 2 of L.A.’s Finest were acquired by Netflix, with Season 1 premiering in January 2021 and Season 2 following in June 2021.
Given its quick cancellation, its inclusion on Netflix gave rise to hope that it might eventually bring the show back in some capacity. Sadly, despite the close relationship between Netflix and Sony Pictures Television, that hasn’t happened, so season 3 will likely remain elusive.
Additionally, it was added to Netflix in Canada and the UK; however, in the case of the UK, the program gradually ended in 2022. With both seasons of L.A.’s Finest leaving the service in early January 2023, it is now the turn of the United States of America and Canada.

Why is L.A.’s Finest Leaving Netflix?
It all boils down to licensing. Its removal indicates that the licensing agreement between Netflix and the content owner has expired and that the content owner (or Netflix) has decided not to renew it.
