Ben Affleck will also make an appearance as Batman in The Flash

Earlier, it was established that Affleck will be performing his part as Batman once again in The Flash, which is slated to be released in the year 2023. Due to the fact that the actor had previously stated that he was finished playing the part, his participation in Aquaman 2 came as something of a surprise.

He made the announcement on Jimmy Kimmel Live! in February 2019, when he was 49 years old, that he was through portraying the superhero role. He admitted that at one point he even considered directing his own feature picture, but ultimately decided against it.

During that time, he was quoted as saying, “I tried to direct a version of it, and worked with a really talented scriptwriter, but just couldn’t come up with a version of (it), couldn’t crack it.” As a result, I was of the opinion that it was high time to let someone else have a go at it. They have some pretty good people, which means that.” Robert Pattinson was ultimately cast in the lead role in the standalone feature.
