Marvel Zombies is a forthcoming American animated television miniseries that will be produced by Marvel Studios and based on the Marvel Comic Marvel Zombies. The story takes place in an alternate universe where a virus has infected the world’s superheroes and turned them into zombies.
The series was inspired by the crossover story arc of Ultimate Fantastic Four, in which the zombie Reed Richards tricked his Ultimate counterpart into opening a portal to the zombie universe, only for the Ultimate Reed Richards to prevent the zombie Reed Richards from ever entering his universe.
What is the Release Date for Marvel Zombies?
As of the time of writing, there is no specific release date for Marvel Zombies; however, the show is expected to premiere in 2024. This will be the first Marvel series with a TV-MA rating, and also the shortest, with only four episodes.
Michael Zeb Wells, the head writer and executive producer of Marvel Zombies, stated at Comic-Con that he did not know when the series would premiere but that he was enthusiastic about the endeavor:
“Therefore, I did not work on [the Zombie episode], but I am working on the spin-off. Thus, it has not yet been released. But I also love that episode, so when I got the call that they were planning a spin-off based on it, I said, “Sure, let’s do it.” Therefore, there will be four episodes; the release date has not yet been determined, but it’s looking really cool.”

What Will Transpire in the Marvel Zombies Series?
There is currently no official plot summary for Marvel Zombies. Nonetheless, it will be inspired by the events of the Zombie What If… episode and the comic book series of the same name.
The comics explore an apocalyptic version of the MCU in which the majority of superheroes have been turned into zombies by the Quantum Virus.
What If… There Were Zombies? The episode ended on a cliffhanger, with the survivors heading to Wakanda to use the Mind Stone to create a cure for the virus. However, Zombie Thanos was awaiting their arrival. It appears that the new episode will pick up where the previous one left off, which means a massive zombie battle is on the horizon.
