Indiana Jones 6 Release Date: We know what you’re thinking: “An Indiana Jones 6 movie will never happen!” Then came Crystal Skull… Then we were given the Dial of Destiny.
We all know that big movie companies love nothing more than to dig up old IPs and give them a fresh coat of paint. So, keeping that in mind, we’re betting that Indiana Jones will come back in some way.
Even after the great ending of Indiana Jones 5, there are still a lot of things that could happen in a new movie. And who doesn’t like a surprise remake of a reboot? So, keeping that in mind, here’s what you need to know about a possible release date for Indiana Jones 6.
Indiana Jones 6 Release Date
We think that we will hear about Indiana Jones 6 or a spin-off movie in late 2025.
Harrison Ford and the head of Lucasfilm both said that Harrison Ford would not be making any more Indiana Jones movies. But Kathleen Kennedy, who runs Lucasfilm, didn’t rule out a TV show or movie about Indy’s goddaughter Helena Shaw in the future.
Harrison Ford revealed that he had hung up his fedora for good when he showed footage from Indy 5 at D23. But in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Kennedy talked about other ways the brand could go on, including a TV show.
“It’s Harrison’s last entry,” she said. “This is how we see the Indy movies. I mean, the truth is that we’re not doing anything to replace Indiana Jones right now. If we did something, it might be a TV series in the future.
Indiana Jones 6 Cast
Anyone could come back for Indiana Jones 6, depending on where a new movie or series would go in time. But we think that Harrison Ford and Phoebe Waller-Bridge are the most likely to come back.
Here is the likely cast list for Indiana Jones 6:
Actor | Character |
---|---|
Harrison Ford | Indiana Jones |
Phoebe Waller-Bridge | Helena Shaw |
Ethann Isidore | Teddy |
Antonio Banderas | Renaldo |
John Rhys-Davies | Sallah |
What Will Happen in Indiana Jones 6?
Since the fifth movie wrapped up Indy’s story so well, we don’t think a sixth movie would be a straight sequel to The Dial of Destiny, at least not one with Harrison Ford as Indy. Based on what Kennedy told Variety, it’s possible that Indiana Jones 6 would catch up with Helena, even though she hasn’t officially taken over the role of Indy.
Or, we could use more de-aging software to see some of Indy’s past adventures. However, a whole movie about a de-aged Harrison Ford seems a bit spooky and would feel more like a Halloween movie than anything else.
So, the closest thing to an Indiana Jones 6 would probably be a cartoon series that shows more of Indy’s adventures without the creepy CGI. Again, though, anyone else’s voice for Indy would feel wrong, so it would depend on whether Ford’s exit includes the recording studio.

Is There a Trailer for Indiana Jones 6?
Sorry, but there can’t be a trailer for a movie that doesn’t exist.
But check out this behind-the-scenes look at Indiana Jones 5, which includes talks with director James Mangold, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, and Harrison Ford, who plays Indiana Jones.
Where Can I Watch Indiana Jones 6?
If there was a sixth Indiana Jones movie, it would probably come out in theaters before going to Disney Plus.
Or, if they decide to make a spin-off or series instead, they might skip the theaters altogether and go straight to a streaming service.
Conclusion
Indiana Jones 6 is expected to be released in late 2025, with Harrison Ford and Lucasfilm’s Kathleen Kennedy indicating that they will not be making any more movies. The cast includes Harrison Ford and Phoebe Waller-Bridge, and the movie could catch up with Helena Shaw or use de-aging software.
The release date is uncertain, but a trailer is available. If a sixth Indiana Jones movie does come out, it could be in theaters before Disney Plus or streamed.
