Green Eggs and Ham season 2 (or Green Eggs and Ham: The Second Serving) is now available on Netflix after a two-year wait! This Friday, April 8, Netflix will begin streaming all ten episodes of The Second Serving (or late Thursday night depending on where you live).
You won’t want to miss out on the new season if you’re looking forward to seeing what crazy escapades Sam, Guy, E.B., and their buddies get up to next. Season 2 of Green Eggs and Ham is just as brilliantly animated, wacky, quirky, and colourful as the first season, but with a fresh tale at its heart.
Guy and Sam must travel to East Flurbia in season 2 to find Sam’s mother. If you recall, the first season ended with Sam and Guy sampling Sam’s favourite meal at a diner, and Sam was surprised to learn he recognised the eggs as tasting precisely like the ones his mother used to prepare for him, and now a new story is unfolding.

The Dr. Seuss series debuted on Netflix in November 2019 and has since become a critical and economic success. Guy-Am-I (Michael Douglas) and Sam-I-Am (Adam DeVine) were the primary characters in the first season, which drew narrative elements from Dr. Seuss’s popular book of the same name.
Green Eggs and Ham’s first season took four years to get on Netflix, and it’s been more than two and a half years since the comedy first aired on the platform in 2012. Fans are looking forward to the second season, which will premiere on Netflix in April 2022.

Season 2 of Green, Eggs and Ham: What to Expect
As the first season came to a close, Sam was eating eggs and was reminded of his mother’s cuisine. After assisting with the return of Mr. Jenkins, Sam is likely to wish to travel to East Flurbia in order to find his mother; naturally, Guy will follow him to assist his friend. Netflix has also supplied us with a synopsis of the upcoming season: “Sam and Guy’s travels continue in an all-new season that takes them around the world and outside their comfort zones as they become entangled in a delectable dispute!”
Why Does Green Eggs and Ham Take So Long to Make?
Typically, any production including animation might take an extremely lengthy time to complete. Anime, for example, might take up to three months for a production crew to complete a single episode. Unlike Toy Story 4 and Frozen 2, which have been in production for several years before their theatrical release dates. Green Eggs & Ham is going through the same lengthy procedure as any other animated film.

If the creation of Green Eggs & Ham took three years, that’s an incredible 2.7 months each episode; even if it took four years, that’s still an incredible 3.7 months per episode. Given the amount of labour that went into making Green Eggs & Ham, the production studios behind the amazing Original had a rocket attached to their back and hammered it out of the park. Green Eggs and Ham is a superbly designed television series, and everyone involved should be proud of their work. We can’t wait to see what else Guy and Sam have in store for us.
Season 2 of Green Eggs and Ham’s Plot
During the first season, the plot centred around Sam and Guy meeting and becoming good friends while rescuing Chickeraffe. I met E.B. on the way, an animal enthusiast who wanted to keep Chickeraffe as a pet. Sam’s green eggs and his amusing attempts to make the Grumpy Guy happy were highlighted in Season One.
Sam was still eating green eggs and thinking about his mother’s cuisine a year later. Now that Chickeraffe, or Mr. Jenkins, is safe and Sam has nothing pressing on his mind, he’ll probably try to find his mother in East Flurbia, accompanied by Guy.
Season one focuses around how Sam and Guy met and became best friends while attempting to save Chickeraffe. On the way, I met another acquaintance called E.B., who has a strong affinity for animals and intended to keep Chickeraffe as a pet. Season one introduced us to Sam’s green eggs and his own amusing ways of making the grouchy Guy grin.

When season one ended, Sam was eating those green eggs and thinking about his mother’s cuisine. Now that Chickeraffe, or Mr. Jenkins, as E. B. refers to him, is safe and Sam has nothing pressing on his mind, the most likely scenario is for him to try to find his mother in East Flurbia, with Guy following him on his expedition.
