Demon Slayer has become one of the most popular anime presently airing after two excellent seasons and a feature film. Even though the Entertainment District Arc concluded earlier this year, fans are now clamoring for new episodes. Season 3 of Demon Slayer was revealed shortly after the conclusion of season 2. But what do we currently know about the upcoming excursion?
Season 3 of ‘Demon Slayer’ was confirmed after the Entertainment District Arc concluded
True, Season 3 of Demon Slayer is already confirmed and under production. Following the conclusion of the Entertainment District Arc, the anime’s official Twitter declared as much. And considering the success of the series, it comes as no surprise that ufotable will continue adapting Koyoharu Gotouge’s manga.

In addition to confirming that the Demon Slayer anime will continue, the series’ Twitter hinted at upcoming events. The manga’s Swordsmith Village Arc will be adapted for the screen in Season 3. What precisely does this signify for the show’s fans?

When will Season 3 of Demon Slayer premiere?
We may know what Season 3 of Demon Slayer will cover, but its release date is unknown. With the anime’s announcement of further episodes immediately following the Entertainment District Arc, it seems expected that the next installment will debut in 2023. In any case, we already have a teaser and key art, which are encouraging indicators that the animators are making work on the upcoming episodes.

Obviously, more than two years passed between Season 1 and Season 2 of Demon Slayer. During those years, however, the COVID-19 epidemic and an anime film were released. With less on their plate, ufotable should be able to release season 3 sooner rather than later.
Expected Cast
- Natsuki Hanae as Tanjiro Kamado
- Akari Kito as Nezuko Kamado
- Hiro Shimono as Zenitsu Agatsuma
- Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as Inosuke Hashibira
We must await further updates regarding Demon Slayer’s return. Hopefully, we will learn more about the upcoming season before the end of 2022.

The next chapter will adapt the Swordsmith Village Arc
The Swordsmith Village Arc by Koyoharu Gotouge will be adapted for Season 3 of Demon Slayer. This is the ninth story arc in the manga series. As the promotional images and Crunchyroll teaser show, this story will focus on two new Hashira: Muichiro Tokito, the Mist Hashira, and Mitsuri Kanroji, the Love Hashira.
If the new episodes stay true to the original, Tanjiro Kamado will meet these people when he goes to the Swordsmith Village. He goes there in hopes that Hotaru Haganezuka will be able to fix his weapon. When he gets there, though, he’ll find more than he expected. Demons are making trouble, so Tanjiro will need to work with the Mist, Love Hashira, and another person who might not seem like a good match.
Fans can, of course, expect more action when the next chapter of Demon Slayer comes out. But exactly when should they look for the new episodes? We don’t know for sure, but we can make a guess.
Who will take the place of Hashira, the Flame, and Sound?
In the last episode of the Entertainment District Arc of Demon Slayer, there was a hint that Tanjiro and his friends might join the Hashira in the future. Obviously, their most recent fight shows that they are still a long way from reaching that goal. But the Demon Slayer Corps has already lost two of its top members. Will they be replaced in season 3?
When the Serpent Hashira finds out that Tengen Uzui wants to retire at the end of the Entertainment District Arc, this problem comes up. Obanai is sad that the Hashira have already lost two of their group. He doesn’t know how they’ll be able to fight the remaining demons in the Twelve Kizuki with fewer people.
It’s a fair question. Either they’ll have to make do with what they have, or they’ll have to train the younger Demon Slayer Corps members faster. We hope that season 3 will show us what they decide to do. And if all goes well, Tanjiro, Inosuke, and Zenitsu will all level up.
