Clone High is an animated science fiction sitcom aimed at adults that were made by Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, and Bill Lawrence. The show’s primary characters are all exact replicas of well-known historical figures.
John F. Kennedy, Gandhi, Cleopatra, Joan of Arc, and Abe Lincoln are all depicted as teenagers. Each episode is referred to as a “very special episode,” making fun of teen dramas like Dawson’s Creek and Beverly Hills, 90210 that are the objects of satire.
In the 1990s, Lord and Miller developed the concept for the sitcom “Clone High School, USA” while they were undergraduates at Dartmouth. Officials from Fox Broadcasting Company finally decided against the program.

What is the Plotline of Clone High Season 2?
The setting of Clone High is an American high school where a covert government organization called the Secret Board of Shadowy Figures is conducting a massive military experiment. Every student at the school is a clone of a historical person created in the 1980s so that the US military may take advantage of their special abilities and expertise.
Cinnamon J. Scudworth, the high school principal, secretly works against the Board’s plans in order to implement his own ideas for the clones (Scudworth wants to utilize the clones to establish “Cloney Island,” an amusement park focused around clones, which is clearly less evil than the Board’s plans).

In the pilot episode “Escape to Beer Mountain: A Rope of Sand,” Mr. Butlertron—a parody of Mr. Belvedere—appears as a robot butler, vice principal, and dehumidifier. He is programmed to address everyone as “Wesley” and speak in three different intonations, with the “high” pitch only appearing once.
There is currently no official season 2 trailer available. The news regarding HBO Max is still pending. The most recent press release and social media ad/trailer are seen in the video below: A second season of the resurrection will reportedly run on HBO Max in 2023, according to current rumors.
Clone High Season 2 Review
MTV cartoons have been known in the past to bomb in dozens with a few strays that make it for the long run. I honestly don’t know if Clone High will make it but I do know that I want it to.
At first glance and the entire summary of it seems kind of lame but you have to watch it to really see the humor. And yes it’s kind of cringe-worthy the way they have written some great historical figures but all you have to say is “Hey it’s just a cartoon!”. I can’t say why I actually care if Joan of Arch or Abe Lincoln get together but I’ll be damned if I don’t tune in to every episode so far to see Joan’s angsty love for Abe.
The more history you know about these characters the funnier the show is! It’s a comical blend of a little history, wacky humor and just growing up and making it through high school! It’s not something that everyone is going to like. If you don’t normally like cartoons geared toward the over-14 crowds then it’s probably not even worth your time.
I want to think positively and that Clone High will become the next Beavis and Butthead or Daria of MTV but I honestly don’t think there are enough Americans out there that can really get the humor without being offended by the portrayal of the characters. If you like cartoons and animation this is not one to miss!
