This coming fall, as part of NBC’s 2022-23 season, the premiere of the next season of Chicago Fire will take place as planned. This year, NBC’s fall programming is scheduled to begin the week of September 19, and the start date for the eleventh season of the firehouse drama One Chicago is slated for the evening of September 21 at 9/8c.
As it has in previous seasons, the new episodes of Chicago Med and Chicago PD, which will both begin their new seasons on September 21, will be bridged by new episodes of Fire.

In the upcoming 11th season of Chicago Fire, will any of the characters be departing the show?
The majority of the cast members left during the tenth season, most notably Jesse Spencer, who played Captain Matthew Casey and left the show in October after it was revealed that he would be moving to Oregon to care for the children of his late friend Andy Darden while their mother is incarcerated. Spencer’s departure came after the show revealed that Casey would be moving to Oregon to care for Darden’s children. Casey is still troubled by the fact that Andy perished in the first episode of the series in a fire.
But we also saw the end of the threat posed by Emma Jacobs (Caitlin Carver), who deserted her post during a call, giving Chief Evan Hawkins (Jimmy Nicholas) grounds not only for her transfer out of Firehouse 51 but also for her permanent dismissal from the department. This occurred in the finale of the season.
