The Cast of Barry Season 4
All of the major characters from season 3 of Barry are expected to return for the fourth season. This includes Bill Hader, Sarah Goldberg, Henry Winkler, and Stephen Root. (Source: IMDb)
Below is a list of everyone who is expected to be in Season 4 of Barry:
Bill Hader as Barry Berkman
Bill Hader, who created the show and is best known for his work on Saturday Night Live, Documentary Now!, Inside Out, and other movies, plays Barry Berkman, also known as Barry Block. Barry Berkman’s life has been hard ever since he joined the service and was sent to the Middle East.
Stephen Root as Monroe Fuches
Stephen Root is an experienced character actor who has played everything from comedic roles like in Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story to villainous parts like in Get Out. In Barry, he gets a real chance to shine as Monroe Fuches, a character who usually gives Barry more problems than answers.
Fuches heard that Barry had become a good killer while in the military, and he saw a chance to make some money illegally. He became Barry’s boss, and until Barry’s deal with the Chechens, he was said to have never had a problem with his young pupil. From then on, Fuches had to keep trying to get Barry to go back to killing people for money, and he quickly wrote off Barry’s new interest in acting as a phase.
Fuches soon finds out that Barry’s new passion is a lot more serious than he thought at first. Even though he thinks of Barry as a close friend, he knows that Barry knows everything about their work and could use that against him. So, Fuches started a long effort to make Barry a lot of different enemies by getting in touch with almost everyone who knew someone who had been hurt by Barry.
One of these people was Jim Moss. He led the angry father in the right direction, but Moss is more interested in following the rules, so he has Fuches arrested, just like he did with Barry. Now it looks like Barry and Fuches are both in jail and doing their time together.
Sarah Goldberg as Sally Reed
Sarah Goldberg (The Report) may have given one of the best performances in a show full of great ones. She brings the difficult character of Sally Reed to life in a spectacular way. When Barry meets Sally, she brushes off the stranger right away because she’s too busy learning her lines. Once she gets to know Barry, she tries to help him improve as an actress, and they end up getting together.
Henry Winkler as Gene Cousineau
Those who can’t do, teach, and Gene Cousineau, a former actor who is now an acting teacher and was played by the Fonz himself, Henry Winkler, is a great example of this. Gene Cousineau is well-known in Hollywood. He has been banned by almost every major player because he has been rude and mean to the cast and crew on multiple sets. This notoriety has also hurt his bond with his own son and grandson, and he now teaches acting classes just to get by.
Anthony Carrigan as NoHo Hank
NoHo Hank is by far the most popular character in the series, mostly because Anthony Carrigan (Gotham) plays him so well.
NoHo Hank used to be Goran’s (Glenn Fleshler) number two. Goran was the leader of the Chechen Mafia in LA. He was more of a bother to Barry than a real enemy, and Hank even thought of him as a friend. However, after Barry kills Goran and puts Hank in charge, things change a bit. Hank acts like his job as a mob boss is a lot of fun, almost like a Disney Channel original movie. He makes sure that Barry knows that there’s a new boss in town.
What is the Plot of Barry Season 4?
The most important question for season 4 of Barry is, “How soon will Barry get out of this mess?” Because the show’s main character, a hitman who just wants to act, has spent most of the last three seasons trying to get away from the one job he’s good at. Now, he has to find a new way out. It’s not clear if Gene Cousineau or Jim Moss came up with the plan to bring Barry in alone, but if Barry got away, those two might be looking over their shoulders.
Oh, and it’s funny how Barry gets arrested at just the right time. Fuches, who used to be his mentor, was also caught at the end of the season and sent to prison. He could run into Fuches there.
The story of NoHo Hank and Cristobal comes next. Now that our favorite Chechen gangster has saved his girlfriend, he and his girlfriend need to get home safely. In the world of Barry, the chances are that they won’t have a safe trip back and will have to avoid more chaos. We’re sure that once they’re safe, these lovers will want the same thing that Barry does: to leave the criminal life.
Last but not least, let’s talk about Sally, who will likely be upset that she’s not getting more attention here. Sally went back to Joplin to get in touch with her roots, but now her old friend Natalie Greer is against her. But based on how this show works, we bet that the two will end up working together again, just like Cousineau is on his own “forgiveness tour.”
Is There Any Trailer for Barry Season 4?
On March 7, 2023, the trailer for season 4 of Barry came out. The second Barry trailer came out on March 30, and it showed that our favorite hitman-turned-assassin was going to have a pretty sad ending.
Is Barry Season 4 The Finale Season?
Sadly, yes. HBO told Deadline that Season Four of Barry would be the last. This was months after Henry Winkler hinted that the show would end at the 2022 Primetime Emmys. Winkler told Variety that Hader and Berg “never try to stretch… they don’t want to push it” when asked if the show would have more than four seasons. Winkler did say that he hopes Barry will go on after Season 4. He said that the show is the reason why he’s “an actor back on the street again” now that he’s in his 60s.

Now, Hader himself has said it’s true. In an interview with Variety, Hader said, “We could pad a lot of stuff and just make a story. But if we keep going, Season 4 is the last one.” Barry The first episode of Season 4 will air on April 16 on HBO. Keep an eye on this space for updates. We’ll keep adding to this story as we find out more.
