“After Ever Happy” is the fourth installment in the teen romance film series After. Although the films in the trilogy have gotten mixed reviews, the film franchise is still doing well, due in part to its timely release on Netflix in many territories.
Based on Anna Todd’s novels, the After films have received widespread criticism for their weak scripting and, at times, horrible performances. Regardless, they are profitable and popular in many areas of the world.
Following the three succeeding films released yearly since 2019, a fourth film is set to be released in theatres on September 7th, 2022, after debuting in London in August 2022.
Beyond a fourth film, Castille Landon hinted at more projects in August 2021, saying to Variety, “I’m working on some other projects in the “After” world, and I’ll leave that cryptic.” A fifth film, titled After Everything, has now been announced and is presently in development.
“After Ever Happy” Expectation
Castille Landon returns to direct the fourth installment, with Sharon Soboil returning to write.
Hero Fiennes Tiffin, Josephine Langford, Carter Jenkins, Louise Lombard, Rob Estes, Kiana Madeira, and Chance Perdomo have all been confirmed to return for the fourth film.
A storyline roadmap has been revealed, giving us a solid sense of what to expect from the fourth film:
“When a shocking truth about a couple’s families comes out, the two lovers realize they are not so different from each other. Tessa isn’t the same sweet, simple, good girl she was when she met Hardin, and he isn’t the same mean, moody boy she fell in love with.”
After Ever Happy Release Date
Even though there hasn’t been an official confirmation (like there hasn’t been for other movies), we expect it to come to Netflix, though it won’t be available everywhere.
Even though the movie is on Netflix and is often called a “Netflix Original,” it was actually made by Voltage Pictures and released by Netflix. Voltage Pictures is a US company that gets movies to theatres.
Only a small number of places got the last two After movies because they were sold elsewhere or not available in other countries.

We also don’t think that everyone will get After Ever Happy at the same time. For the last two movies, Netflix in Asia has been the first to get the movie before the US and Canada.
Netflix After We Fell came out in the US and Canada much later than it did in Asia. Most of Asia got it in October 2021, but the US had to wait until mid-January 2022.
People in Asia should be able to see the new movie by the end of 2022, but people in the US and Canada might have to wait until early 2023.
In other places, Amazon will sell “After Ever Happy.”
The last two movies are now available on Amazon Prime Video in many places, like the UK and France. This will be the case again when the fourth movie comes out, even though the first movie, “After,” won’t be available to stream in the UK until September 2022.
