Acapulco Season 1: A Quick Recap

A trip back to the 1980s through Máximo’s (Eugenio Derbez’s) memories demonstrates that not everything that glitters is gold, even at the opulent hotel Las Colinas. Acapulco tells the story of twenty-something Máximo Gallardo (Enrique Arizona), who gets the job of a lifetime as a cabana boy at Acapulco’s hottest resort.

He quickly realizes that the job is far more difficult than he imagined and that in order to succeed, he must learn to navigate a demanding clientele, a volatile mentor, and a complicated home life without succumbing to shortcuts or temptations.

Derbez narrates and plays the present-day version of the main character, Máximo Gallardo, in the series, which is told in both Spanish and English.
