Jeremy Caroll

Gujarat Titans are one of the new franchises in the upcoming TATA IPL 2022, having participated in their first ever IPL Auctions. Gujarat Titans appear to be a well-balanced squad with no margin for error.

Gujarat Titans’ top three choices for the upcoming Indian Premier League season are shown below:

  1. Jason Roy -At the 2022 IPL Auction in Bengaluru, Gujarat Titans were successful in acquiring Jason Roy for 2 crore. Gujarat Titans appeared to be delighted with their signing of Jason Roy, who has made a name for himself in white-ball cricket with his tremendous batting performance. Jason Roy is one of the top T20 batsmen in the world, and he excels at playing pace and bounce. Because of his superb play on the power play, the Gujarat Titans should opt to send Jason to open. Jason Roy is presently ranked 15th among T20 Batsmen by the International Cricket Council. The Englishman has played 264 T20 games and scored 6,893 runs with a strike rate of 142.74 in his career. Roy is famous for scoring runs quickly on the power-play.

  2. Lockie Ferguson –  At the 2022 IPL Auction in Bengaluru, the Gujarat Titans were successful in acquiring Lockie Ferguson for 10 crore. Ferguson was also wanted by Royal Challengers Bangalore and Lucknow Super Giants, therefore it was a protracted bidding battle. Lockie has shown to be one of the most difficult bowlers to face, and the franchise can take use of his added pace in the correct scenario. Lockie Ferguson didn’t receive enough chances for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the past two seasons since Australian Test captain Pat Cummins started in the starting XI after the team spent INR 15.5 crore on him, but when he was given a longer run, he made the ball talk.

  3.  Rahul Tewatia – Rahul Tewatia, an uncapped all-rounder who formerly played for Rajasthan Royal, has been sold to Gujarat Titans for Rs. 9 crores. Gujarat Titans have signed Rahul after a protracted bidding war between Chennai Super Kings and Gujarat Titans. Rahul Tewatia, one of the top Indian all-rounders in the Indian Premier League, can help the squad with its bowling and hard-hitting strokeplay. Rahul’s game against Punjab Kings will go down in history since he hit five sixes in one over, which proved to be so valuable to his career that his bidding value was enhanced by 200 percent.
