Kulkarni has played 12 One-Day Internationals and two Twenty-20 Internationals for India. In One-Day Internationals, he took 14 wickets and 3 wickets in the shortest format of the game. In reality, he also represented Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League (IPL) under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma.

With 36 wickets, he is the Mumbai Indians’ eighth leading wicket-taker. In total, he has appeared in 92 IPL games, taking 86 wickets at an economy rate of 8.31.
