Ranji Trophy: Quick recap and summary of the match between Hyderabad and Chandigarh

The match between Hyderabad and Chandigarh was played in Bhubneswar at Vikas Cricket Ground.

Hyderabad was directed to bat first as Chandigarh opted to bowl first. Hyderabad scored a decent score of 347 runs in the first innings which was considered teamwork as all the batsmen knocked some runs and no individual icon was witnessed in putting up the runs on board. Hanuma Vihari scored the highest among all in the first innings, as he knocked 59 runs.

Chandigarh was bowled out for 216 runs in their first innings, out of which 110 came out from Vohra’s bat. Manan Vohra played a captain’s knock scoring a wonderful ton and despite scoring a beautiful ton, the team was not able to reach the score of 347 runs and were left trailing in the game. Chinntla Readdi was able to take a five-wicket haul for team Hyderabad.

Hyderabad witnessed leader Hanuma Vihari leading with class as Hanuma knocked a brilliant century in the second innings. Hyderabad declared their innings at the score of 269-8, challenging Chandigarh to chase the target 401 runs.

Chandigarh was bowled out for 183 runs as Ravi Teja was the game-changer as he took 6 wickets in the final innings of the game. The game-changer Ravi Teja was awarded the ‘Player of the Match’ award.

Match Results: Hyderabad won by 217 runs.
