The match between Bihar and Mizoram was played at the domestic stadium of Kolkata – Jadavpur University Ground.

Opting to bat first Bihar successfully scored 686 runs at the loss of just 5 wickets and the captain decided to declare the innings which certainly was a good call as Mizoram was bowled out for 328 runs and was allowed the ‘follow-on’ innings, in which Mizoram stood until the time permitted, which resulted in a surprising draw.

Sakibul Gani scored 341 runs, which is an iconic record of scoring triple century in first-class cricket, followed by Babul Kumar’s double century as he stood not out for 229 runs.

The brilliant and iconic triple century by Sakibul Gani awarded him the Player of the Match award.

Taruwar Kohli was the most successful batsman from the Mizoram side as he hit centuries in both the innings of his team.
