Ranji Trophy: Quick recap and summary of the match between Bengal and Baroda

The match between Bengal and Baroda was played in Cuttack at Barabati Stadium.

Baroda was directed to bat first as Bengal opted to bat first. Team Baroda scored just 181 runs in the first innings as Ishan Porel took 4 lethal wickets to restrict team Baroda, which included Krunal Pandya, at the score of 181 runs.

Bengal on the other hand was lashed down after Baroda bowled them out in just 88 runs. Atit Sheth took a five-fer, forcing Bengal players to go back to the pavilion.

Baroda batted well in the second innings and scored 255 runs, but Krunal Pandya was witnessed struggling once again. Wicket-keeper Mitesh Patel scored a half-century in both innings and played well from the Baroda side.

With a decent target on board, Bengal was able to chase runs and won the game by 4 wickets as captain Abhimanyu initiated well for team Bengal and Shahbaz Ahmed completed the chase in style. Abhishek Porel assisted Shahbaz in the run chase and scored a beautiful half-century.

Shahbaz Ahmed played a survival role of team Bengal and was awarded the Player of the Match award for his critical knock of 71* runs
