Shreyas Iyer has been one of the expensive buys in the IPL 2022 Auction, being awarded a whopping amount of INR 12.35 Crore for his core ability to step up as a tactically sound captain, previously leading Delhi Capitals into knockout stages twice. However, the carpet has been rolled out for Iyer to take the charge of the team and take the KKR franchise ahead. The franchise announced the appointment through their Twitter handle.
