IPL 2022 Player Auction: Here’s The 10 Listed Players In The Marquee Set

The Indian Premier League (IPL) released the final list of players for the IPL 2022 auction today. There are 590 players who have registered for auction, among them 228 are capped players, 355 are uncapped players and 7 belong to Associate Nations,” stated an official release.

The marquee set of players will be part of the star-studded lineup that will lead off the mega auction scheduled to take place on February 12 and 13, in Bengaluru.

Shreyas Iyer, David Warner, Ravichandran Ashwin, Kagiso Rabada, Mohammed Shami, Faf du Plessis, Shikhar Dhawan, Quinton de Kock, Pat Cummins and Trent Boult are the 10 player enlisted in the marquee set.

Out of the 590 players, 48 players are registered at the highest base price of Rs 2 crore. 20 players reserved at Rs 1.5 crore, while 34 players have listed themselves in a price bracket of INR 1 crore.

England pacer Jofra Archer has also entered the auction and he has listed his base price as INR 2 crore, but is unlikely to be available for the 2022 season.

The 10 IPL 2022 franchisees: Delhi Capitals, Chennai Super Kings, Lucknow Supre Giants, Kolkata Knight Riders, Mumbai Indians, Rajasthan Royals, Punjab Kings, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Sunrisers Hyderabad and Team Ahmedabad.

The the India’s in demand star Ishan Kishan has received a position in the wicketkeepers list. He, along with Shreyas Iyer, are among the most expected players to undergo the hammer in the IPL 2022 auction.
