Jeremy Caroll

Team India will be seen walking out in whites, and this time the fans will witness Virat Kohli coming out on the field as a player. Rohit will be seen leading the white side of India after being officially announced as the all-format captain for team India.

It will be exciting to watch captain Sharma back in whites and the fans will be excited to know if he will be opening or will bat down the order.

Ravichandran Ashwin is subject to fitness clearance and might not play the first Test against Sri Lanka, while Bumrah will be the vice-captain of the team, particularly leading the bowling unit with his experience and vital pace.

The first test will be Virat Kohli’s 100th Test match and the fans roar around the Mohali to watch him bat, protesting against BCCI to allow visitors to watch the match live. BCCI notably announced that the match will be played behind closed doors, amid the COVID rise in Chandigarh particularly.

1. Rohit Sharma (C)
2. Jasprit Bumrah (VC)
3. Rishabh Pant (WK)
4. Virat Kohli
5. Mayank Agarwal
