Harsha Bhogle’s thoughts on the crucial signing of Rovman Powell by the Delhi Capitals

Powell’s outstanding form, according to Harsha Bhogle, would help DC put up some nice runs on the board, as he was seen thumping the ball all over the park.

Rovman Powell, the maestro, not only dealt in boundaries, but also in lengthy hits that sent the ball virtually out of the park.

“Not sure anyone strikes the ball harder than Rovman Powell,” Harsha Bhogle tweeted. I’m not sure whether it comes over on TV, but I can guarantee you that getting to the border takes no time at all.”

Harsha Bhogle also stated that the Delhi Capitals had made a “serious” deal by buying Rovman Powell as a hit-man for the upcoming Indian Premier League season.

Fans were on the edge of their seats in the second T20 against India as Rovman Powell’s power-hitting batsman evoked flashbacks of Carlos Braithwaite’s performance at the same venue, but Powell was unable to complete the run-chase as West Indies lost by 8 runs.

Rovman Powell was tasked with bringing the innings to close clash. Powell’s 68-run not out smash will be remembered at Eden Gardens, but it was not enough for the visitors to win the game.

Rovman Powell was acquired by Delhi Capitals for ₹2.80 crore. Delhi Capitals’ management will be delighted to watch the great performance by Powell.

“Rovman Powell was hitting bullets. At the back of my mind I was happy as well as Powell will be playing for Delhi Capitals (Smiles).” – Rishabh Pant.
