Glen Powell and Sydney Sweeney look like they can’t wait for summer. The same goes for their upcoming rom-com!
The actors from Top Gun: Maverick and Euphoria were spotted Wednesday showing off their ripped bodies in Sydney, Australia, where they were filming scenes for an untitled R-rated romantic comedy directed by Will Gluck.
Glen Powell and Sweeney, who are wearing the ruffled-up underwire top and high-cut full bottoms from Heavy Manners’ song “Miss May,” are on a sailing boat and look very close and happy. When the news outlet first said that Sony Pictures had bought the movie in January, the plot was still a secret. Gluck has already made two romantic comedies, Easy A and Friends With Benefits.
Deadline says that Sony got the project after figuring out Sweeney’s schedule with her Euphoria dates at the end of last year.
Powell talked about the project when he was on the red carpet at the 2023 Golden Globes. He told InStyle that he’s “super excited” to do a rom-com with Sweeney, who is also the film’s executive producer.
Sydney Sweeney is working on more than just the movie. She’s going to be in Madame Web, and she’s supposedly going to be in The Registration, where she’ll also be a producer. She will also direct and star in a new version of Barbarella. She talked to ET about the reboot back in October.

“I’m really excited to serve all the fits,” said a gleeful Sweeney. “But also, just it’s such an iconic, fun character. And I want to keep that fun alive through Barbarella. So, I’m excited for everyone to see it.”
Powell has a few projects coming up. Set It Up, a romantic comedy on Netflix was one of them. Hitman and Most Dangerous Game are also in the works.
