Joe Rogan, the world’s most famous podcaster, is no stranger to controversy. Joe has recently been in the headlines for his anti-vax views and a history of making racist remarks, but he is now all over social media for an entirely different reason. A rumor is circulating online that the immensely influential podcaster has died, and many people want to know if this is real.
Is Joe Rogan Dead?
Joe Rogan is very much alive, but he is unfortunately the latest victim of a death hoax epidemic that has swept the internet in recent years. A bogus tweet from @joerogannhq appears to have originated the rumor:
“We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Joe Rogan,” stated the tweet. “He died peacefully in his home this afternoon; we will provide more details as they arrive, with respect to his family’s wishes.”
The prank also included fake information from UFC president Dana White. It included a screenshot of a bogus tweet from Dana in which she expressed sorrow to Joe’s family.
“The entire UFC family is devastated to hear of Joe Rogan’s passing,” claimed the bogus post. “Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones, and we will do everything we can to carry on his legacy.” Dana White”
This isn’t the first time rumors about Joe’s death have circulated. In fact, he’s so used to the hoaxes that he responded to this one with a sarcastic jest, stating “I’m pregnant” on Twitter.
It’s evident that he takes online rumors about him in stride and knows how to respond to them in ways that please his supporters.
What Has Joe Rogan Said About the Death Hoax?
Joe Rogan, unfazed by the rumors, handled the situation with his trademark grace and wit.
On X, he jokingly claimed, “I’m not dead.” I’m still around. “I have no plans to leave.”
He even admitted to being flattering, adding that the deception made him feel important enough to be the center of attention.
Fans also remarked that on September 20, 2022, he posted a comment on his Facebook page applauding American submission grappler Gordon King Ryan for his victory over Brazilian Andre Galvo.
“Congratulations to the King, @gordonlovesjiujitsu! He made it appear simple. It was just as he predicted.
“Incredible. It was an honor to be present to witness this.” As a result, his whereabouts and well-being are confirmed.
