Kathy Jacobs, who is 60 years old, is in the best shape she’s ever been in. This is probably why she doesn’t mind showing off her body in swimwear.
The super-glam Instagram star from California, US, always wanted to be a model and started working in the industry in the 1980s. Even though it was her big dream, she had trouble getting noticed, so she crammed everything in. Kathy never thought she’d pose for the camera again, but when she was in her mid-fifties, she decided to give it one last try.
Since she took the plunge, she hasn’t looked back. She has been modelling in her bikini for the hugely popular US sports magazine Sports Illustrated. If that wasn’t enough, she wore revealing swimwear in a video for the US rock band Green Day.
Speaking to Bored Panda, Kathy said: “In the 1980s, I was a model in New York City, and then I did a few things here and there in Los Angeles.
“But I had given up and was sweeping the floors at a Drybar for minimum wage. About a year and a half ago, I decided to give it one last try.
“I started applying for modelling and acting jobs on my own and got quite a few.”
Kathy, whose Instagram handle is @ageisbeauty, is now a model and actress, and her success is growing so fast that she had to hire an agent.

During the interview, she said that she is not a “diet expert,” but that she did change the way she ate about six years ago because she was on the verge of getting diabetes.

Because of this, she stopped eating meat and sugar, and she also limits how much fish she eats. Kathy also doesn’t like many carbs, like bread, pasta, rice, and white potatoes. If she has the choice, she would much rather eat sweet potatoes instead.
She said the following about some of her favourite recipes: “Every day, I put almond milk in my coffee and smoothie, so I drink a lot of it.
“I eat a lot of crackers made with almond flour.”
“I also make ugly muffins made with almond flour and stevia or a sugar substitute to make them sweet.”
Kathy is also in great shape because she works out three or four times a week. She loves going to F45 and the gym, and she also likes taking belly dancing classes. Kathy likes to talk in a positive way and tells other women to be proud of their age and enjoy the beauty of growing older. In a recent post on Instagram, she said: “I can’t be hurt, but I’m not invisible.”
